For the past few years, the club has had a focus on raising the profile and increasing participation of the girl’s game at Pilkington’s. We hold twice weekly training sessions aimed at getting girls involved in football and developing their skill levels and technique, in a fun and friendly environment. We are now in a position to have several different aged teams compete in leagues and cup competitions.
The U11’s are currently enjoying their first season of league football. We play in the Warrington Junior Girls Football League and compete against other teams from the surrounding area. We are able to train twice a week using the very impressive facilities on offer at Ruskin Drive and we play our home matches on the brand new 3G at Sutton Leisure Centre, meaning we can host games all year round.
We pride ourselves on making training fun and enjoyable to create a really positive environment for all involved. This results in great friendships amongst the players. The aim is to not only improve our footballing abilities but also to develop the individual as well, on and off the pitch.
